Uses
- PU basketball courts
- Running tracks
- SBR + PU sports systems
- Jogging tracks
- Multipurpose sports flooring
- Outdoor athletic and recreational surfaces requiring UV- and weather-resistant coatings
Advantages
- Excellent UV & Weather Resistance:
Provides long-term color stability and protection against sunlight, rain, and outdoor exposure. - Superior Adhesion & Flexibility:
Bonds strongly to steel, concrete, primers, and base coats while remaining flexible under movement. - Mild Chemical Resistance:
Offers resistance to common chemicals, solvents, and gasoline, ensuring durable performance. - High Mechanical Strength:
Exhibits strong impact resistance and enhanced abrasion resistance for sports floor durability.
Application
1. Surface Preparation:
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, sound, and free from rust, oil, grease, dust, or loose particles.
Use oil-free compressed air, sandblasting, wire brushing, or appropriate mechanical cleaning methods.
2. Priming:
Apply PU RC S 2K over a suitable base primer or intermediate coating.
Smooth aged coatings with emery paper grade 400/600 before application.
3. Mixing:
Stir Component A and Component B separately.
If settling is observed, loosen with a hand stirrer.
Gradually add Component B into Component A while continuously stirring to form a uniform mixture.
4. Application:
Apply using a brush, roller, or airless spray system.
Use compatible thinner (5%–15%) for required workability depending on the method.
5. Application Parameters:
Conventional Spray:
Thinner: 5–15%
Nozzle Size: 1.2–1.4 mm
Pressure: 40–70 psi
Airless Spray:
Thinner: Max 5%
Nozzle Size: 0.28 mm
Pressure: 1400–1800 psi
6. Cleaning & Maintenance:
Clean tools with xylene immediately after use.
Do not allow the material to harden on equipment.
