Coverage
Approximate0ly 14 m² per pack at 0.8 mm – 1.0 mm thickness per coat.
Features
- Flexible: Accommodates normal building movement.
- Two-component elastomeric waterproofing system.
- Advanced acrylic-based formulation.
- Protects concrete from long-term weathering and resists UV rays.
- Water-based: Safe to use, low odor, and easy to clean.
- Suitable for all cementitious substrates.
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be hard, sound, and free of dust and other barrier materials such as paint, lime coatings, plaster, curing agents, laitance, and adhesive residues, which may inhibit adhesion. Use a suitable degreaser to remove polish, wax, grease, oil, and similar contaminants prior to mechanical preparation. Contaminated substrates should be mechanically prepared by grinding or shot blasting and vacuumed clean prior to applying CEM 2K BB. Note: Any joints or cracks in the substrate where differential movement is anticipated, such as movement joints, should be brought through to the finished surface.
Mixing & Application
Individual contents of CEM 2K BB should be thoroughly stirred before mixing. Pour the entire content of Part A (5 liters) into a larger mixing vessel, add approximately 2.5 liters of water, and mix for one minute. Finally, add Part B to the same vessel. Mix all three materials with a spiral mixing paddle in a slow-speed drill until a consistent, homogeneous mix is achieved. Multiple packs can be mixed simultaneously for quicker installation. Apply CEM 2K BB by brush or roller. A medium nap paint roller is recommended, and new rollers should be dampened with water before use. For best results with a paintbrush, use a good-quality, 50mm long bristle variety. Apply the product to achieve the required dry film thickness per coat.
Cleaning
Wash hands, brushes, rollers, and other tools with water while the membrane is still fresh. Remove cured material with mineral turpentine.
