Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

Ensure the surface is dry, clean, structurally sound, and free from oil, grease, wax, polish, laitance, dust, and other barrier materials. Treat all vertical bore packing with Carbolink’s SG Grout and horizontal bore packing with polymer-modified mortar admixed with Carbolink’s CreteBond. Install covings using polymer-modified mortar mixed with CreteBond if required.

Mixing

Thoroughly stir the liquid component and pour it into a suitable mixing vessel. Slowly add the powder while mixing with a spiral mixing paddle in a slow-speed drill. Continue mixing until a consistent, homogeneous mix is achieved.

Application

Saturate the surface with clean water. Apply the first CEM 2K BS coat using a short, stiff bristle brush or roller while the surface is wet but free of standing water. Allow the first coat to dry for 2 – 3 hours before applying the second coat at a right angle to the first. Let the membrane dry entirely before applying tiles or other finishes.
