Substrate Preparation

All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free from dust, oil, and grease before application. Any organic growth should be removed using Carbolink Mould Buster or Carbolink Mould Stop. For established paving, ensure all organic matter and loose particles are removed; if power washed, allow the surface to dry completely before applying Granuseal 41(W). For new paving, remove any dust or loose material by sweeping with a stiff brush.

Application Instructions

Shake the container well before use. Apply Granuseal 41(W) in dry weather using a high-quality long pile roller or suitable brush. Ensure even coverage across the surface, avoiding pooling or ponding of the product. Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C or if rain is expected within 6 hours of application. Drying time will vary depending on environmental conditions, typically between 1 to 3 hours at 20°C. Drying time will be extended at temperatures below 10°C. Ensure the surface is completely dry before allowing foot traffic. Generally, one coat is sufficient; however, for very porous surfaces like Indian sandstone, a second coat may be necessary. Apply the second coat within 30 minutes, before the first coat has dried. It is recommended to perform a trial on a small area to assess consumption and appearance before full application. Clean all equipment with clean water after use.
