XP 14 Water Clear

Single Pack PU Based Water Clear Binder

Carbolink XP 14 Water Clear is a high-performance, solvent-free, moisture-curing, one-component polyurethane binder. This clear binder offers excellent long-term elasticity and adhesion to most rubber granulates, ensuring superior tensile strength and durability. It is ideal for creating the base layer of running track systems and as a base coat for playgrounds, tennis courts, and similar applications.

Key Features
  • Solvent-free and clear
  • Moisture-curing with long-term elasticity
  • Excellent adhesion to rubber granulates
  • High tensile strength and durability
Recommended Uses

Carbolink XP 14 Water Clear is used for:
Creating base layers for running track systems
Base coats for playgrounds and tennis courts

Application Guidelines Surface Preparation:

• Ensure surfaces are dry and free of dust, loose particles, and other contaminants.
• Clean surfaces thoroughly before application.
• Prime surfaces with XP 13 Primer using an airless sprayer and brush. The base layer should be constructed while the XP 13 Primer is still sticky (wet-on-wet application). Curing occurs at ambient temperature through solvent evaporation and reaction with atmospheric moisture.
• Mix XP 14 Water Clear with recycled rubber using a low-revolution mixer (300-600 rpm) for 1-2 minutes until homogeneous.
• Pour the mixture onto the surface and spread to a thickness of 11 to 12mm using a suitable paving machine or hand straightedge and flat trowel. Roll the surface with a metallic cylinder to remove minor irregularities.
• Ensure the temperature does not fall below ten °C during curing.
• Curing time depends on temperature and humidity, taking approximately 48-72 hours.

Consumption

• Mixture: 1.32 kg XP 14 Water Clear with 6 kg recycled rubber (granulometry 0.5-2.5mm)
• Ratio: 18.3% XP 14 Water Clear to 81.7% recycled rubber
